ESIA Update

Edenville Energy plc (AIM: EDL) is pleased to announce that the second stage of the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (“ESIA”) for Company’s integrated coal to power project in western Tanzania, the Scoping Study, has now been completed with the relevant documents being approved by the Tanzanian National Environment Management Council (“NEMC”).

The final stage is completion of the main ESIA report which will include extensive data and consultation with the local community and stakeholders. This comprehensive report will then be submitted to the NEMC for review and approval. Subsequently, management believe that the ESIA process will then be complete subject to any specific recommendations or instructions.

It is planned the final stage of the ESIA is completed in parallel with the Bankable Feasibility Study (BFS) for the power plant. An integrated approach will ensure all necessary technical, environmental and social considerations are taken into account when completing these specific areas. We look forward to providing further updates as the work progresses towards completion.
